Throughout the pandemic, YRT has proudly continued to support communities by safely connecting people to businesses and front-line workers to essential jobs. YRT is partnering with local businesses to help support their recovery efforts and showcase how transit can get people to their favourite shops and restaurants.
The Shop Local with YRT contest complements the Region-wide Shop Local campaign.
Contest is open from 12:01 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022 to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
How do I participate?
- Take YRT to a local store or restaurant in York Region between May 9, 2022 and June 5, 2022
- Take a photo or video of shopping local at the business
- Read and agree to the Official Contest Rules
- Submit your photo or video entry below and fill in all the required fields

The Shop Local with YRT contest is open to anyone who takes YRT to shop at any local business within York Region. Click here for full contest rules. |
| What are the prizes? |

There are thirty-six (36) $50 PRESTO card prizes to be won. |
| How are the winners selected? |
|
Selection of the winners will be determined by representatives of York Region. All prize winners must meet the eligibility requirements. The winners will be announced no later than Thursday, June 30, 2022. |
