PRESTO Scheduled Updates

From 11 p.m. March 13 to mid-morning March 14, PRESTO will undergo scheduled updates. The PRESTO website, app and mobile wallet card services won't be available, so make sure to load your card ahead of time.
During this work, you can still tap and pay your fare. If you have a physical PRESTO card you can load it at a PRESTO vending machine or customer service outlet.

PRESTO is making changes to their system. Now when you tap your registered PRESTO card to take transit, it will only be accepted if you have enough funds to pay your full transit fare.

Ongoing Detours at Finch Terminal Until Further Notice

Platforms 1 to 12 at Finch GO Bus Terminal are currently closed until further notice for emergency hydro tower work.
All YRT routes will continue to service the terminal; however, your bus may be servicing a different platform during this time.

Citymapper now shows YRT bus detours in real time

YRT riders using the Citymapper app can now benefit from a new feature that shows when a bus travels off its regular route.
Citymapper uses real-time bus GPS data to track YRT buses and compare their paths to the planned routes. If a bus skips a stop multiple times, Citymapper identifies a detour and updates the map to show the change.
The updated map shows blue lines for the route that the bus is taking and “x’ icons for the missed stops along the scheduled route. The detour alert will be removed...

York Region is offering the Transit Assistance Program (TAP) to help make transit more affordable for eligible residents.
Eligible TAP participants can receive a 50% discount on regular adult single ride York Region Transit (YRT) fare using a PRESTO card. This includes a two-hour transfer window. After 40 trips, rides are free for unlimited travel for the remainder of the calendar month.
Reminder: Participants need to reapply for the TAP every year.
