MyRide Travel Training
The myRide Travel Training Program is for customers of all ages and abilities who need additional knowledge and skills in order to use YRT independently.
The myRide Program offers:
- Train-the-trainer presentations
- Individual travel training
- Transit overview presentations to community organizations
MyRide Travel Training services are provided within York Region only and are intended to support travel on YRT services and destinations located within York Region. Customers will receive travel information, and resources to help them travel confidently and independently in the future.
Who is Travel Training for?
Travel training can empower people to use transit so they can travel spontaneously, become more independent and improve their quality of life. By encouraging transit use, travel training enables people to participate more fully in their community. The following groups are potential candidates for the myRide program:
- Seniors not familiar with taking transit
- Persons with disabilities
- Newcomers to York Region
- Individuals preparing to enter the workforce
