Veterans Ride Free on YRT for Remembrance Day

On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, York Region is pleased to offer free transit service throughout York Region Transit and On-Request to veterans and immediate family of a deceased veteran.

Veterans and one companion can ride free by identifying themselves to YRT and On-Request operators by showing a uniform, medal, beret or blazer. PRESTO Services at Finch Gateway Newstands Ends October 24, 2026

Effective Saturday, October 24, 2026, Gateway Newstands inside Finch GO Bus Terminal will no longer offer PRESTO services (buy, reload and set fare types).

PRESTO cards can be purchased and loaded at:

• PRESTO self-serve reload machine between platforms 2 and 3 at Finch GO Bus Terminal
• Shoppers Drug Mart at 5576 Yonge Street (southwest corner of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue West). Visit the PRESTO website for a full list of locations
