August 31, 2025 service changes

Below is a list of routes with service changes effective Sunday, August 31, 2025 (unless otherwise noted). For further assistance, please call the YRT Contact Centre at 1-866-668-3978 or Chat Live with us. The next service change is November 2, 2025.

Route 2 - Milliken

Weekdays: 

Due to updated morning bell times, the westbound 7:25 a.m. trip from Denison Street and Markham Road (stop 1240) will now divert to Middlefield Collegiate Institute instead of the westbound 7:47 a.m. trip.

Additionally, the corresponding eastbound trip from Finch GO Bus Terminal (stop 2332) will now depart at 8:49 a.m. instead of 8:40 a.m.

Route 4 – Major Mackenzie

Route 4 – Major Mackenzie will be revised to end at Major Mackenzie West Terminal. Service west of this terminal will no longer be part of Route 4.

To maintain and expand service in the area, a new Route 6 – Major Mackenzie will be introduced. This new route will replace the current Route 4 service between Pine Valley Drive and Major Mackenzie West Terminal and will extend further west to serve the growing community of Nashville Heights.   

Route 4 riders travelling on Via Campanile and Davos Road may walk to Major Mackenzie Drive to board the new Route 6 – Major Mackenzie. 

Weekdays: 

Schedules will be adjusted. 

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Early morning – every 16 minutes
  • Midday – every 22 minutes
  • Afternoon rush hour – every 14 to 17 minutes
  • Early evening – every 17 minutes
  • Evening – every 18 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Saturdays: 

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning – every 32 minutes 
  • Evening – every 30 minutes 

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Sundays/Holidays: 

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning – every 30 minutes 
  • Evening – every 29 minutes 

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Route 6 – Major Mackenzie

Route 4 – Major Mackenzie will be revised to end at Major Mackenzie West Terminal. Service west of this terminal will no longer be part of Route 4.

  • Morning – every 29 to 35 minutes 
  • Afternoon – every 32 to 37 minutes
  • Evening – every 31 to 37 minutes

Route 7 – Martin Grove

Weekdays: 

The northbound 2:33 p.m. trip will now leave at 2:26 p.m. due to new bell times at Holy Cross Catholic Academy.

Route 8 – Kennedy

Early morning southbound trips will be adjusted to start from Prospector’s Drive and Major Mackenzie Drive (stop 7312) instead of Kennedy Road and Highway 7 (stop 9748). This change will help provide earlier service along Major Mackenzie Drive to connect with the first southbound GO train at Unionville GO Station.

Weekday, Saturday and Sunday/Holiday schedules will be adjusted.

Route 18 – Bur Oak

Service Adjustments:  

The following Route 18 – Bur Oak trips will be adjusted to improve connections with GO trains at Mount Joy GO Station: 

Frequency will be adjusted as follows: 

  • The eastbound trip from Angus Glen Community Centre (stop 1340) will depart at 4:39 p.m. instead of 4:37 p.m. 
  • The eastbound trip from Angus Glen Community Centre (stop 1340) will depart at 5:09 p.m. instead of 5:02 p.m. 
  • The eastbound trip from Angus Glen Community Centre (stop 1340) will depart at 5:40 p.m. instead of 5:36 p.m. 
  • The westbound trip from Cornell Bus Terminal (stop 7335) will depart at 6:11 p.m. instead of 6:07 p.m.

Route 32 – Aurora South

Due to the relocation of Dr. G.W. Williams Secondary School to 11 Spring Farm Road, Route 32 will no longer provide limited service along Yonge Street, Dunning Avenue, and Edward Street.

Route 33 – Wellington-Leslie

Weekdays: 

Route 33 – Wellington-Leslie frequency will be improved to meet growing ridership demand. 

Schedules will be adjusted.

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning rush hour – every 30 minutes
  • Midday – every 30 minutes
  • Afternoon rush hour – every 31 minutes
  • Early evening – every 26 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Route 50 – Queensway

Route 50 will divert along Jim Mortson Drive to serve the new Health and Active Living Plaza in Queensville (opening October 2025) as a one-year trial.

In addition, earlier southbound trips will be introduced on weekends and holidays.

Weekdays: 

Schedules will be adjusted. 

Frequency will be as follows:

  • Early morning – every 38 to 42 minutes
  • Midday – every 30 minutes
  • Early evening – every 37 minutes
  • Late evening – every 37 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Saturdays: 

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning – every 37 minutes
  • Afternoon – every 40 minutes
  • Evening – every 36 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Sundays/Holidays: 

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning – every 48 minutes
  • Afternoon – every 47 to 50 minutes
  • Evening – every 43 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Route 54 – Bayview 

Weekdays: 

Route 54 – Bayview frequency will be improved to meet growing ridership demand.

Midday frequency will be adjusted to every 36 minutes.

Route 57 – Mulock

Weekdays: 

Route 57 - Mulock frequency will be improved to meet growing ridership demand.

Frequency will be as follows:

  • Morning rush hour - every 32 to 42 minutes
  • Midday - every 36 minutes
  • Afternoon rush hour - every 38 minutes
  • Evening - every 62 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Route 77 – Highway 7

To address safety concerns at Highway 7 and Bowes Road, Route 77 – Highway 7 eastbound trips beginning at Highway 7 and Baldwin Avenue (stop 4156) will depart from Highway 7 and Weston Road (stop 7292) instead.

Route 85 – Rutherford 

Platform changes at Rutherford GO Station:

  • Route 85 – Rutherford westbound trips servicing Rutherford GO Station will service Platform 5 (stop 3333)
  • Eastbound trips servicing Rutherford GO Station will continue to service Platform 4 (stop 3335)

Route 87 – Autumn Hill

Route 87 will be revised to travel on Confederation Parkway and Peter Rupert Avenue, ending at Maple GO Station.

Service on Rutherford Road to and from Vaughan Mills Terminal and Rutherford GO Station will be discontinued. Riders in that area can transfer to Route 85 – Rutherford at Confederation Parkway and Rutherford Road for continued travel.

Morning and afternoon rush hour frequency will be adjusted to every 33 minutes.

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Route 90 – Leslie

Weekdays: 

  • The additional northbound trip departing Don Mills Road and Steeles Avenue (stop 1936) at 2:36 p.m. to help reduce overcrowding at St. Robert Catholic High School will be reinstated for the 2025/2026 school year
  • The northbound trip from Don Mills Station (stop 7405) at 2:17 p.m. will depart at 2:15 p.m. to improve connections at St. Robert Catholic High School
  • The additional southbound trip departing Leslie Street and Headford Avenue (stop 1918) at 4:21 p.m. to help reduce overcrowding in the Beaver Creek Business Park will be suspended

Routes 91 – Bayview and 91A – Bayview

Routes 91 and 91A will be combined into Route 91 – Bayview. Sunday/holiday service will be introduced for travellers who previously used 91A on Woodriver Street and Subrisco Avenue.

Service on Taylor Mills Drive will be adjusted to service Neal Drive, Elgin Mills Road and Bayview Avenue. A new bus stop 7489 at Neal Drive and Alper Street will be serviced by the Route 91.

Northbound stops 2828, 2829, 2830 and 2858 will no longer be served by the new Route 91. Travellers using these stops can instead use one of the following:

  • Stop 2857 at Taylor Mills Drive and Neal Drive
  • Stop 2831 on Bayview Avenue, north of Elgin Mills Road
  • Stop 2852 at Taylor Mills Drive and Alverna Road
  • Stop 2827 on Bayview Avenue at Redstone Road

Weekdays:

The additional northbound trips departing Bayview Avenue and John Street (stop 2894) at 3:06 p.m. and 3:08 p.m. to help reduce overcrowding at Thornlea Secondary School will be reinstated for the 2025/2026 school year.

Schedules will be adjusted. 

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Early morning – every 11 minutes
  • Midday – every 25 minutes
  • Afternoon rush hour – every 13 to 14 minutes
  • Evening – every 23 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Saturdays: 

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning – every 22 minutes
  • Afternoon – every 25 minutes
  • Evening – every 29 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Sundays/Holidays:

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning – every 46 to 76 minutes
  • Midday and afternoon – every 32 minutes
  • Early evening – every 42 minutes
  • Late evening – every 36 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Route 96 – Keele-Yonge

Weekdays:

Schedules will be adjusted. 

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Early morning – every 30 minutes
  • Morning rush hour – every 34 minutes
  • Midday – every 39 minutes
  • Afternoon rush hour – every 25 to 27 minutes
  • Evening – every 30 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Route 165 – Weston

Saturdays: 

Route 165 – Weston frequency will be improved to meet growing ridership demand.

Schedules will be adjusted. 

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning – every 25 to 38 minutes
  • Afternoon – every 28 to 31 minutes

Route 320 – Jane Express

Schedules will be adjusted to match Canada’s Wonderland and Vaughan Mills Mall’s hours and ridership demand.

Weekdays/Saturdays/Sundays/Holidays:

  • Schedules will be adjusted
  • First and last trips will be adjusted

Route 360 – Vaughan Mills/Wonderland

Schedules will be adjusted to match Canada’s Wonderland and Vaughan Mills Mall’s hours and ridership demand.

Weekdays/Saturdays/Sundays/Holidays:

  • Weekday service will be suspended
  • Friday service for Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland
  • Schedules will be adjusted
  • First and last trips will be adjusted

Route 361 – Nashville Express

Weekdays:

Select northbound and southbound trips will be adjusted.

Northbound:

  • 5:27 a.m. will depart 2 minutes later at 5:29 a.m.
  • 3:44 p.m. will depart 2 minutes later at 3:46 p.m.
  • 4:37 p.m. will depart 2 minutes later at 4:39 p.m.

Southbound:

  • 6:25 p.m. will depart 1 minute earlier at 6:24 p.m.

On-Request Kleinburg-Nashville

Service Adjustments:

The On-Request Kleinburg–Nashville service area will expand to include the new subdivision at the southeast corner of Teston Road and Pine Valley Drive.

This service will offer connections to the new Route 6 – Major Mackenzie.

On-Request Kleinburg–Nashville will continue to operate Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On-Request North-Central, Gormley and King

The following services will be consolidated into the On-Request North-Central service area:

  • On-Request King
  • On-Request Gormley

Service will improve as follows:

  • New service to the Vandorf employment area and the community of Preston Lake, with connections to Bloomington GO station and Aurora
  • New weekday non-rush hour and weekend service in the Township of King
  • New weekday non-rush hour and weekend service in the community of Gormley
  • New service between Oak Ridges and the Gormley and Bloomington GO stations

On-Request North-Central continue to operate:

  • Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday/holiday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On-Request Stouffville

On-Request Stouffville service hours will be expanded and operate Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Service will improve as follows:

  • All day connections to GO bus and train service at Stouffville and Old Elm GO stations
  • All day travel within Stouffville and Ballantrae, and connections to Route 9 – Ninth Line

School Specials

All 400-series School Special routes will be reinstated for the 2025-2026 academic year. The following routes will be reinstated Monday, August 25, 2025:

  • Route 404 – Markville School Special
  • Route 424 – Keswick School Special
  • Route 462 – Maple School Special

In addition, some School Special routes will be affected by service changes.

Route 406 - Markham District SS via Bur Oak

Discontinued School Special:

Route 406 – Markham District School Special via Bur Oak will be discontinued due to low ridership. 

Travellers can use Viva purple/purple A, Routes 1 – Highway 7, 25 – Major Mackenzie, 411 - Markham District via Box Grove and 416 – Markham District via Ninth Line. Customers may be required to transfer and/or walk for a part of their trip.

Route 414 - St. Katharine Drexel School Special

School days: 

An additional afternoon trip will depart from Meridian Drive and Sutton Railway (stop 7435) at 3:54 p.m. to meet growing ridership.

Due to updated bell times at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic High School:

  • The morning trip from Hoover Park Drive and Sandiford Drive (stop 7278) will depart at 8:43 a.m. instead of 8:35 a.m.
  • The first afternoon trip from Meridian Drive and Sutton Railway (stop 7435) will depart at 3:51 p.m. instead of 3:45 p.m.

Route 423 - Newmarket School Special via Bristol

Routes 426 – Dr. G.W. Williams School Special via Stone and 428 – Dr. G.W. Williams School Special via Henderson

Revised School Specials:

To accommodate the relocation of Dr. G.W. Williams Secondary School to 11 Spring Farm Road, the following school transit routes will be restructured:

Route 426 – Dr. G.W. Williams via Stone

  • Will operate along Stone Road, Wellington Street, William Graham Drive and Hartwell Way.

Several school specials serving Cardinal Carter Catholic High School will be restructured to improve safety, efficiency and better align with student demand and updated bell times for the 2025/2026 school year:

Route 429 – Cardinal Carter School Special via Bayview

  • Morning service to Aurora High School will be discontinued due to low ridership
  • Will be restructured along Westlea Avenue and North Lake Road to address safety concerns

  • Will be restructured along Parker Avenue and Humberland Drive
  • This route will replace Route 436 – Cardinal Carter School Special via Parker to meet demand
  • Schedules will be adjusted to reflect new bell times at Cardinal Carter Catholic High School

Route 430 - Sacred Heart School Special via Main

School days: 

Schedules will be adjusted.

The morning trip from Newmarket Terminal (stop 4187) will depart at 7:20 a.m. instead of 7:32 a.m.

New School Special:

Route 431 – Aurora School Special via McClellan 

  • Will operate along McClellan Way, Seaton Drive and Kennedy Street to/from Aurora High School

Route 463 – St. Joan of Arc School Special via Keele will service Ravineview Drive and Keele Street to/from St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School.

  • One morning trip will depart from Kirby Road and Ravineview Drive (stop 6564) at 7:52 a.m.
  • One afternoon trip will depart from McNaughton Road and St. Joan of Arc Avenue (stop 4802) at 2:38 p.m.

Route 469 - Father Bressani School Special

Revised School Special:

Route 469 – Father Bressani School Special will be restructured to service students living in the community of Vellore, via Fossil Hill Road, Vellore Avenue, Canada Drive and Vellore Wood Boulevard. One new morning trip will be introduced. 

  • One morning trip will depart from Vaughan Mills Terminal (stop 3317) at 7:22 a.m.
  • One afternoon trip will depart from Ansley Grove Road (stop 3636) at 2:50 p.m.
