January 8, 2023 Service Changes

Service changes coming effective Sunday, January 8, 2023. Schedule and route changes will be made to adjust to changing customer demand.

Below is a list of routes with service changes effective Sunday, January 8, 2023 (unless otherwise noted). For further assistance, please call the YRT Contact Centre at 1-866-668-3978 or Live Chat with us.

Viva purple/purple A

Weekdays:

Schedules will be adjusted.

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning rush hour every 22 minutes
  • Late evening every 42 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Route 2 - Milliken

Service Adjustments:

A new bus stop (7378) will be added at the northeast corner at Woodbine Avenue/ Esna Park Drive in the westbound direction to improve connections for travellers connecting between Routes 2 – Milliken and 24 – Woodbine.

Weekdays:

Schedules will be adjusted.

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Saturdays:

Schedules will be adjusted.

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning rush hour – approximately every 37 minutes
  • Afternoon rush hour – approximately every 41 minutes
  • Early evening – approximately every 37 minutes
  • Late evening – approximately every 35 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Sundays/holidays:

Schedules will be adjusted.

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning rush hour – approximately every 72 minutes
  • Midday – approximately every 72 minutes
  • Afternoon rush hour – approximately every 77 minutes
  • Evening – approximately every 69 minutes
  • Late evening – approximately every 69 minutes

Route 14 – 14th Avenue

Service Adjustments:

Schedules will be adjusted.

Route 22 – King City (discontinued)

Route 22 – King City will be discontinued to minimize duplication of service. Travellers continue to have the option to use Route 96 – Keele-Yonge and Route 433 – Cardinal Carter School Special via Kingshill.

Route 44 - Bristol

Service Adjustments:

Schedules will be adjusted.

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning rush hour - approximately every 40 minutes
  • Afternoon rush hour – approximately every 45 to 47 minutes

Service to the ROC in Town of Georgina

Weekdays:

Mobility On-Request North will continue to service the Recreational Outdoor Campus (ROC) on weekdays. Travellers may present their ROC season pass or ROC employee ID to the bus operator as proof of payment.

Please note: If the ROC is closed, service to the ROC will be cancelled.

Weekends/Holidays:

Route 50 will provide weekend service to the ROC until 1 p.m. upon request only. Please notify the bus operator upon boarding. After 1 p.m., call 1-844-667-5327 to request the next available Route 50 trip to and from the ROC. Customers must call at least 60 minutes in advance of their trip. Travellers may present their ROC season pass or ROC employee ID to the bus operator as proof of payment.

Route 50 service to the ROC will be suspended effective Sunday, March 19, 2023 or earlier if the ROC is closed.

Please note: If the ROC is closed, service to the ROC will be cancelled.

TTC Route 68B – Warden

Weekdays:

Schedules will be adjusted.

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Early morning - approximately 27 minutes
  • Morning rush hour - approximately 27 minutes
  • Midday - approximately 36 minutes
  • Afternoon rush hour - approximately 27 minutes
  • Early evening - approximately 42 minutes
  • Late evening - approximately 20 minutes

First and last trips will be adjusted.

Saturdays:

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning - approximately 39 to 40 minutes
  • Afternoon - approximately 37 minutes
  • Evening - approximately 45 minutes

Sundays/holidays:

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning - approximately 42 to 50 minutes
  • Afternoon - approximately 36 minutes
  • Evening - approximately 40 minutes

First trip from Angus Glen Community Centre will be adjusted.

Route 88 - Bathurst

Weekdays:

Schedules will be adjusted.

Frequency will be adjusted as follows:

  • Morning rush hour - approximately 15 to 16 minutes
  • Evening - approximately 39 minutes
  • Late Evening - approximately 39 minutes

Route 90 - Leslie

Weekdays:

The additional northbound trip departing Steeles Avenue/Don Mills Road (stop 1936) at 2:39 p.m. for students at St. Robert Catholic High School will be reinstated.

Route 96 – Keele-Yonge

Weekdays:

Schedules will be adjusted to improve connections with the GO train scheduled to depart King GO station at 8:07 a.m.

The 7:20 a.m. southbound trip will depart 2 minutes earlier at 7:18 a.m. and will arrive at King GO station at 8:01 a.m., providing a 6-minute connection with the GO train.

TTC Route 102D – Markham Road

Weekdays:

Schedules will be adjusted.

Frequency adjusted as follows:

  • Morning rush hour - every 24 minutes
  • Midday - every 30 minutes
  • Afternoon rush hour - every 24 minutes
  • Early evening – every 30 minutes

Route 403 – Brother André School Special via Parkway Avenue

Service Adjustments:

The morning 7:45 a.m. trip departing from Markville Mall (stop 1827) will be adjusted to depart at 7:42 a.m.

Route 411 – Markham District School Special via Box Grove

Service Adjustments:

The morning 7:32 a.m. trip departing from 14th Avenue/Markham Road (stop 1508) will be adjusted to depart at 7:25 a.m.

Route 433 – Cardinal Carter School Special via Kingshill

Service Adjustments:

The morning trip departing from King Road/Bathurst Street (stop 4565) at 7:46 a.m. will be adjusted to depart at 7:42 a.m.

Route 450 – St. Theresa School Special via Tower Hill

Service Adjustments:

Route 450 – St. Theresa School Special via Tower Hill will be extended to provide service along Jefferson Sideroad between Yonge Street and Bathurst Street. This change will be a pilot and evaluated for the 2023 school year.

Route 462 – Maple School Special

Service Adjustments:

To improve service for students at Maple High School (MHS), an additional trip will depart from MHS (stop 3826) at 3:12 p.m. and end at Keele Street/Rutherford Road (stop 3969) at 3:49 p.m. This change was effective November 30, 2022.

Please note: The yrt.ca Trip Planner, Print Schedule and real-time tools will not reflect this change until January 8.

Route 720 – Highway 407 Terminal/Wonderland

Service Adjustments:

Route 720 will be suspended effective Sunday, January 1, 2023 and will return spring 2023.

Route 760 – Vaughan Mills/Wonderland

Weekends/holidays:

Schedules will be adjusted to match Vaughan Mills Mall’s operating hours.

Service reductions still in effect

Below is a list of service reductions in effect due to a decrease in ridership as a result of COVID-19. These service changes will remain in effect until further notice.

Viva blue A (temporarily suspended)

Viva blue A is temporarily suspended.

Alternative option: Viva blue.

Viva pink (temporarily suspended)

Viva pink is temporarily suspended.

Alternative options: Viva blue, Viva purple, Route 1 – Highway 7 and Route 99 – Yonge.

Viva green (temporarily suspended)

Viva green is temporarily suspended.

Alternative options: Viva purple, Route 24 – Woodbine, Route 90 – Leslie and TTC Route 68B – Warden.

Route 10 - Woodbridge (temporarily suspended)

Route 10 is temporarily suspended.

Alternative option: See Mobility On-Request Woodbridge for service information.

Alternative options prior to 8 a.m.: Viva orange, Routes 7 – Martin Grove, 13 – Islington, 12 – Pine Valley and 165/165F – Weston.

Route 13 - Islington (revised service)

Limited service to Kleinburg is suspended.

Alternative option: See Mobility On-Request Kleinburg-Nashville for service information.

Route 21 - Vellore Local (temporarily suspended)

Route 21 is temporarily suspended.

Alternative option: See Mobility On-Request Vellore Local for service information.

Route 31 - Aurora North (temporarily suspended)

Route 31 is temporarily suspended.

Alternative option: See Mobility On-Request Aurora-Oak Ridges for service information.

Route 42 - Berczy (temporarily suspended)

Route 42 is temporarily suspended.

Alternative options: Routes 1 – Highway 7, 8 – Kennedy, 16 – 16th Avenue, 25 – Major Mackenzie, TTC Route 129A – McCowan and Viva purple.

Route 45 - Mingay (temporarily suspended)

Route 45 is temporarily suspended.

Alternative options: Routes 1 – Highway 7, 8 – Kennedy, 16 – 16th Avenue, 25 – Major Mackenzie, TTC Routes 102D – Markham, 129A – McCowan and Viva purple.

Route 51 - Keswick Local (temporarily suspended)

Route 51 is temporarily suspended.

Alternative option: See Mobility On-Request Keswick for service information.

Alternative options prior to 8 a.m. include Mobility On-Request North starting at 7 a.m. or Route 50 – Queensway.

Route 57A - Mulock (temporarily suspended)

Weekdays:

Route 57A weekday service is temporarily suspended.

Alternative option: Route 57 - Mulock.

Route 58 - Mount Albert (temporarily suspended)

Route 58 is temporarily suspended.

Alternative option: See Mobility On-Request Mount Albert for service information.

Route 84 - Oak Ridges (temporarily suspended)

Route 84 is temporarily suspended.

Alternative option: See Mobility On-Request Aurora-Oak Ridges for service information.

200 Series - GO Shuttles (temporarily suspended)

Effective Tuesday, September 8, 2020, all 200-series GO Shuttle routes are temporarily suspended.
