Ride to GO

YRT's Ride to GO program offers you convenient and affordable travel to and from GO Transit services in York Region.

Ride to GO lets customers travel on YRT for free when showing proof-of-payment for a trip on GO Transit. Ride to GO is available on any YRT and contracted TTC route in York Region travelling to or from GO Transit services. You must use a PRESTO card, credit or debit card, or valid GO Transit fare to use this fare integration.

How to GO

With PRESTO, credit or debit card

Ride to GO with your PRESTO card, credit or debit card, and the appropriate fares will be automatically calculated and deducted.

When connecting from YRT or a TTC route in York Region to GO Transit:

• Full YRT fare will be deducted from your PRESTO, credit or debit card. When you tap on/off GO Transit, your GO fare will be reduced accordingly
• Children (ages six to 12) must tap their PRESTO card on and off GO Transit to ride free on YRT

When connecting from GO Transit to YRT or a TTC route in York Region:

• A full GO fare will be deducted from your PRESTO, credit or debit card when you tap on/off GO Transit. Your YRT fare is free when you tap and board a YRT or TTC route in York Region
• Children (ages six to 12) must tap their PRESTO card on and off GO Transit to ride free on YRT

With GO Transit fare

• YRT and contracted TTC routes will only accept a valid GO Transit single-ride or two-ride return paper ticket if transferring from a GO transit service to a YRT or contracted TTC route; the ticket must show the current date/time cancellation from the connecting GO Train or Bus
• When travelling on Viva: Travellers connecting to Viva must use a PRESTO, credit or debit card in order to use Ride to GO

With YRT Pay or Transit Apps

• Ride to GO is not available for fare payments made with the YRT Pay or Transit Apps

Things to keep in mind:

• GO Transit group passes, e-tickets and employee passes cannot be used with Ride to GO
• Remember to tap on and off GO Transit services to qualify, including children (ages six to 12)
